A man has been charged with the murder of a 45-year-old woman who was found dying in a London home.
Neighbours described how they heard ‘high pitch screams’ as Ana Maria Murariu, 45, was fatally injured at a property on Jubilee Road, Perivale.
Mugurel Nica, 50, from Perivale, was charged with her murder today, the Metropolitan Police said.
Detective Inspector Richard Kempshall said: ‘We are continuing to support Ana Maria’s family at this difficult time and our thoughts remain with them. We are not actively seeking anyone else in connection with this investigation.’
Following the murder, Damian Marius, 27, told Metro: ‘I heard screams really high-pitched, it was horrible, then the police arrived, so many of them it was such a shock.
‘The family have three children. The man is a delivery driver and the woman a housewife. They have lived here about three years.
‘Just a nice hard working normal family, we have no idea how this can have happened.’
Officers conducted first aid but were unable to save her, and she was pronounced dead shortly after.

A police cordon was in place and officers patrolled the area to support the community.
