I had trouble parallel parking when I took my test, lol.
The examiner just said drive back to the test centre (figured I failed) As I was driving he said parking isn't really important, its how you drive, whether you pay attention & are courteous to others while knowing the rules.
I passed & thanked him trying to apply that to all aspects of life.

 

During driver's ed I hit a car while parallel parking. My instructor (who just passed away a few weeks ago - love you, Mr. J!) made darn sure I could parallel park after that. I'm the best parallel parker I know of!

 

Weirdly, I was never required to parallel park when I got my license. I lived in Tennessee at the time, and they had a ridiculously easy driving test. The only part that was even slightly hard was making a 3-point turn. The conventional wisdom was that the only way to fail was to play the radio too loud.

 

I had the same issue 40% hear lose I also need motion sickness pills. But wanted to learn motorcycle riding so bad I forced my self to learn to come tell it. I look for farahead it works its self out.

 

Hmm...my brother was born deaf in one ear, and never had a problem riding a bike. Wonder what makes it different for people.

 

I had that problem too, but now I have it licked.....

 

I decided to leave that one alone...too easy!

 

Not speaking from first hand experience, but doubt defective.
I see it like this, your walking down a crowded street. Coming towards you is a guy, once you see him, the attention is his. He gives you a wink and a smile, as he walks past. You turn to watch him walk. Then your eyes lower, you let out a very high pitched loud whistle.
It doesn't matter if no one else hears it. That don't mean you can't whistle, cause you heard it.

 

It's only defective if you can't lick a lollipop or ice cream cone.

Now that is something I can do. I get along with people pretty well.

 

I can behave, but my tolerance levels definitely depend on how long I can tolerate being peopled

Yea, we have all been exposed to skating as kids lol. Schools always had skating field trips and such. I prefer roller skating though. Skating in circles to music is much more fun.

 

That's what I've heard from other Canadians as well lol.

You are correct @Aqua Marine, it is not like riding a bike. I played organized ice hockey when I was young, so obviously I could skate. Recently, after decades of not skating I laced em up and hit the ice. Literally! It looked like I had never done it before. It did come back to me, but it took some time.

 

Yeah me too...never learned how and besides, I wasn't rich enough growing up to do it anyway lol!

 

I’ve been skiing a few times in Quebec and I took a ski trip to Montana. It’s fun but not my cup of tea. I wouldn’t say I’m very good lol. But I spent lots of time in the chalet playing pool and drinking hot chocolate and flirting that’s more my style
