Palestinian Activist’s Fizzy Plan: Sell A Soft Drink Like Coca-Cola To Rebuild Gaza
Israel-Hamas War: Creator of Gaza Cola, Osama Qashoo, has recently launched the Coca-Cola alternative in London, to rebuild al Karama hospital in northern Gaza.

Gaza’s hospitals have been severely damaged as the Israel-Hamas war continues, as per the United Nations but a Palestinian activist is making sure that he fixes the healthcare crisis with the help of a soft drink.
Creator of Gaza Cola, Osama Qashoo, has recently launched the Coca-Cola alternative in London, to rebuild al Karama hospital in northern Gaza. He said, “It’s been reduced to rubble for no just reason, like all of these hospitals in Gaza. The hospital is small, it’s quite manageable, it doesn’t cost a lot of money".

He asserted, “We are allowed to have an imagination … we have to dream, otherwise we can’t live". Osama Qashoo shared that he first had the idea for Gaza Cola in November 2023. The can of the drink features the Palestinian flag with “Gaza Cola" written in Arabic calligraphy and a pattern like the Palestinian keffiyeh.
He said that Gaza Cola is “a statement to all these corporate companies who are investing in armed trade. To ask them the question of dignity. Do you see what your money’s doing? Because it is doing damage. It is destroying homes and our environment … they need to wake up and they need to understand that their money, their greed, is causing our genocide".
Osama Qashoo said that Coca-Cola as a company is “representative of all the big corporations who actually don’t care about the human being".
More than 500,000 Gaza Colas have been sold online in the last year- a 24-pack costs £30 and a six pack costs £12 – and is being shipped all over the UK, as well as Spain, Australia, South Africa and Kuwait.
